Thursday Lunchtime

At lunch time my friends and I played soccer on the grass outside Rooms 1 and 2 and outside the big children's park. We played with Cooper's soccer ball.  Cooper is in my class.

On my team there was George, Cooper, Issac, Willietony and Sione.  We played against Chester, Paul, Augustine and Mike and Matao from Room 5L.  The best part of the game was when we won the game.  George dribbled the ball and then when the bell rang he scored us a goal.  I had lots of fun.

Saint Patrick's Day

On Friday it was Saint Patrick's Day so it was our feast day. First we went to church and we knelt and prayed to God. We also sang to God. Next that we came back to school and had our morning tea. After morning tea time we met outside the school library and Miss Bullot put us into teams. Then we all went in our teams to do art activities and to play games. My favourite game was Irish Airways in Room 1. We got to make planes for passengers going on Irish Airways and we got to decorate them.  That is why it was my favourite game.  I also made a Irish Book Mark with Mrs Dines and I got to paint and Irish Rainbow with Sister Evalesi.  
Next we went outside and played crab walking with Mrs Twomy and steal the emerald and gold with Miss Chao.  My team won.  Then we all sat down on the grass and some children had ice blocks.  Then Miss Bullot gave Lasike a Trophy for being kind and helpful to others.   It was a fun day.

Whanau

On Saturday my family and I went to the swimming pool.  When we got to the swimming pool my sister and I had a swimming race.  After the swimming race my sister and I went on the huge slide.  I went first and my sister went second.  We went fast and then we dived.  It was fun because we were playing.  After playing we changed and went home.

Persuasive Writing: Arguet Against Chocolates

I think children should not be allowed to eat chocolates because they are full of sugar, too sweet and bad for their teeth. If they eat too much they can make them feel sick and rot their teeth.
So I think children should only have chocolate as a treat on their birthday. 

Religious Education: Meditation

In Room 2 I am learning how to do meditation. I can do meditation when I sit and stay still, close my eyes, breathe gently and place my hands on my lap.

Meditation helps me to listen and stay focused.

Playing Golf

We were learning to play golf at school. 
First we hopped like a kangaroo. Next we crawled like a bear. Then we learned to hit the golf ball with the golf club. I missed my first hit. I tried again but I missed it. Finally I did it. I hit it hard and it went far away. 
We all had a fantastic time.
